I Believe

1.  I believe that people of every race, sex, and ethnicity deserve the same rights.
2.  I believe that T.V. shows such as Jersey Shore send the message to teenagers and even children that they can act like the idiots on jersey shore with no consequence other than a reality tv show stint.
3.  I believe that the world has turned into a place where we isolate ourselves from people.
4.  I believe that some schools aren’t doing enough to battle the stereotyping and racism going on within their own walls.
5.  I believe that all forms of bullying, be it cyber bullying, verbal, emotional, or physical, are bad.

4.  Nowadays, to succeed in the ever changing, fast-paced world and to better further our chances of achieving great opportunities, we need to be culturally diverse.  Knowing one other language is not enough to get ahead in the world today.  Today’s youth should be encouraged to get out there and try to attain all the culture and knowledge they possibly can.  But at Topeka drive Elementary School, they are anything but encouraged.  The children that participate in the Korean Dual Language Program, otherwise known as KDLP, are subjected to racism and cruelty of the children there who's parents have been mis-informed and led astray.  From being pushed on the playground, to being called deragatory things, these children are basically targets for people who are racist and closed-minded about things that really are for the benefit of the children.
